Our Commitment
Venus of Now is committed to making its website, content and educational resources accessible to as many people as possible.
We want people to be able to engage with information about fertility preservation, relationships and emotional wellbeing regardless of disability, health condition, access need or the technology they use.
Venus of Now is operated by House of Reverie Ltd.
Our Accessibility Statement Aim
We are working towards meeting the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at level AA.
These guidelines explain how to make digital content more accessible for people with visual, hearing, physical, cognitive and neurological access needs.
Our aim is to make it possible for visitors to:
• navigate the website using a keyboard;
• use screen-reading and voice-recognition software;
• enlarge text and zoom the website without losing information;
• understand links, headings and form instructions;
• access meaningful alternatives to visual and audio content; and
• use the website across common desktop, tablet and mobile devices.
CURRENT ACCESSIBILITY STATUS

Venus of Now is a new website that is still being developed.
The website has not yet undergone a complete independent accessibility audit. We therefore do not currently claim full conformance with WCAG 2.2 AA.
Accessibility is being reviewed as the website, forms, videos and educational resources are developed.

KNOWN LIMITATIONS
​
Some areas of the website may not yet be fully accessible.
Current areas under review include:
• colour contrast, particularly pale-pink text displayed over blue, grey or photographic backgrounds;
• alternative text for editorial and illustrative images;
• keyboard navigation and visible keyboard focus;
• heading order and screen-reader structure;
• labels, instructions and error messages within Wix forms;
• mobile text sizing and responsive layouts;
• captions and transcripts for video or audio content; and
• third-party or embedded content that Venus of Now does not fully control.
We are working to identify and correct these issues as the website develops.

IMAGES AND VISUAL CONTENT
​
Informative images should include alternative text describing their meaning or purpose.
Purely decorative images should be marked so that assistive technologies can ignore them.
Complex illustrations may be accompanied by a longer written description where a short alternative-text description would not communicate their meaning adequately.

VIDEO AND AUDIO
​
We aim to provide captions for spoken video content and transcripts for longer interviews, films or audio features.
Where captions or transcripts are not yet available, you may request an alternative version by contacting us.

FORMS AND CONTACT OPTIONS
​
We aim to make forms clearly labelled, easy to understand and usable with a keyboard and assistive technology.
We will not require people to disclose more personal or health information than is reasonably necessary.

Some pages may contain content or functionality provided by Wix, social-media platforms, video providers, event platforms or other external services.
We cannot always control the accessibility of third-party platforms. However, we will consider accessible alternatives where a third-party feature creates a significant barrier.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

The website is created and hosted using Wix.
The accessibility of the site depends on the combination of:
• website content and design;
• Wix components and applications;
• the visitor’s browser and device; and
• any assistive technology being used.
We will use Wix accessibility features and testing tools where appropriate, but automated tools alone cannot identify every accessibility problem.

OUR APPROACH TO IMPROVEMENT

We are working to improve accessibility by:
• using clear headings and plain language;
• reviewing colour contrast and text size;
• adding meaningful alternative text;
• captioning audiovisual content;
• checking forms and interactive elements;
• testing keyboard navigation;
• reviewing mobile layouts; and
• responding to feedback from people with access needs.
We will review this statement following significant website changes and after further accessibility testing.
